Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I am an established patient at Lanier Dermatology, and I have a question. Will I be able to speak to someone by phone if I need to?

A: We welcome phone calls from our patients. Please be aware that it is sometimes difficult to return calls during a busy clinic day. In the event you reach our voice mail, please leave a message with contact information, and we will return your call as soon as possible. If your call is for a prescription refill, please include the name of the prescription, your pharmacy, your date of birth, and current contact information in your message.

Q: I am a new patient — can I ask someone questions about my medical condition before my first visit?

A: Although we understand that it is not always possible to schedule your initial visit as quickly as we would like, we cannot provide any medical or treatment-related information over the telephone prior to your initial visit. After your initial visit, we will have compiled a comprehensive record with the information necessary to address questions over the telephone, if necessary.

Q: How do I know if you participate with my insurance plan?

A: We participate with many insurance providers and multiple plan types. Although we are happy to file any applicable insurance claims, it is your responsibility to verify your coverage and the physician participation status prior to your visit. Each individual insurance plan has a patient contact number (usually located on the back of the insurance card). We encourage all patients to utilize this resource for the most accurate information regarding their benefits.
